About Me.

Hi! I’m Megan, an award-winning history researcher with a master's degree and a background in museum education. I’ve spent my career uncovering the hidden stories of young history-makers. But I believe history shouldn't stay locked in an archive—it belongs in the hands of curious young minds, to help them see themselves as significant contributors to the human story.
I live in NYC and work with schools, libraries, and youth organizations to transform dusty documents into dynamic discoveries that empower young learners. Whether we’re dissecting primary sources or deconstructing a historical mystery, my goal is to show kids and teens that history isn't just something that happened—it’s something people like them built by being bold, brave, and curious.
My Background
Museum Educator
From years of museum education roles specializing in children's workshops and tours, I use hands-on, inquiry-based learning techniques that keep kids active and engaged.
Award-Winning Researcher
I have conducted multiple grant-funded projects to compose original, award-winning research unveiling overlooked figures in women's history from ancient times to today.
Public Speaker
I have presented history lectures and workshops to learners of various ages and levels, from elementary and middle schools to college classes and adult groups.
Opportunities
The Young History Detective
For schools and libraries, these workshops use dynamic narratives, primary sources, and inquiry-based storytelling to immerse youth in the shoes of historical figures their same age, using games and SEL strategies to discover the real lives of history-makers just like them.
Empowerment Workshops
Focusing on local and cultural connections, these empowerment workshops use examples of young historical women as inspirations for history-based identity formation, galvanizing today's youth to see themselves as history-makers.
Museum & History Tours
Available as an online webinar or in-person tour (must be local to NYC), I bring together historic artifacts, artworks, documents, and more to bring to life the tangible legacies of significant young women throughout history..
